We specialize in creating visually captivating content for clients across luxury fashion, beauty, advertising, lifestyle, and entertainment industries. As we expand operations in Los Angeles, we're seeking a Freelance Junior Photo Producer to support our high-end productions on a project-by-project basis.

Position Summary

As a Freelance Junior Photo Producer at Slate Studios, you will help coordinate and execute premium photo shoots for our fashion and beauty clients. You'll work alongside senior producers, creative directors, photographers, and stylists to ensure that each project runs smoothly from pre-production through post. This role is ideal for someone passionate about luxury visuals, with excellent organizational skills and production experience in a fast-paced creative setting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Assist in organizing photo shoots, timelines, call sheets, and team coordination
• Work closely with photographers, stylists, HMU artists, and talent to align production logistics
  
  

Logistics Management

• Coordinate bookings for locations, gear, catering, permits, and transportation
• Help manage crew schedules, equipment rentals, and travel if required
  
  

Client Liaison

• Serve as a support contact for clients during production
• Ensure production details reflect client expectations and creative briefs
  
  

Budget Assistance

• Track project expenses and support the team in staying within scope
  
  

On-Site Support

• Provide hands-on help during shoots to ensure production stays on schedule and within quality standards
  
  

Post-Production Coordination

• Work with post teams to facilitate image delivery, asset organization, and file archiving
  
  

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate records including contracts, receipts, and production notes
  
  

Trend Monitoring

• Stay informed on the latest fashion and beauty production trends to bring fresh ideas to shoots
  
  

Requirements

Location

• Based in Los Angeles, CA with availability for on-site freelance projects
  
  

Experience

• Degree in Photography, Production, Communications, Fashion, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in production coordination or assistant roles within fashion/beauty
  
  

Skills

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills

• Proficiency with project management tools and Google Workspace
• Basic knowledge of production workflows, equipment, and creative terminology
