Visit.org is seeking a passionate and ambitious Freelance In-Person Event Host in San Diego, CA to join our Events team on a contract basis. The Event Host will facilitate interactive social impact experiences for our corporate partners during in-person events. This role is ideal for individuals with stage experience who are comfortable in front of crowds and want to contribute their skills to positively impact local communities worldwide. The right candidate will be based in San Diego, CA, possess corporate event experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to thrive in a start-up tech environment.

• Welcome, engage, and inspire participants while supporting nonprofits in facilitating the in-person event.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Based in San Diego, CA.
• Availability to work on a per-event contract basis.
• Comfortable interacting with groups and individuals, keeping events flowing and participants engaged.
• Energetic, charismatic, and fun personality.
• Experience with acting, comedy, improv, or similar fields that require engaging with an audience is a plus but not required.
• Experience in group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• Quick thinker capable of problem-solving during events.
• Enjoys public speaking and is extremely comfortable with it.
• Excellent customer service and presentation skills.

What We Offer

This is an on-location, in-person, per-event contract role in San Diego, CA. Candidates must already reside in San Diego, CA; no relocation packages are provided.
