Thefreelancefirm is seeking an Immigration Attorney to provide on-demand hearing coverage in New York City, Newark, and Philadelphia. The role entails Master Calendar and Merit Hearing coverage with hours starting around 5+ per week and recurring in-person needs.

Qualified candidates are licensed in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with 5+ years of immigration experience and proven ability to handle Master Calendar and Merits hearings. Strong client communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of immigration law experience.
• Experience handling Master Calendar hearings.
• Experience handling Individual (Merits) hearings.
• Available for in-person coverage in New York City, Newark, and/or Philadelphia.
• Strong communication and client-service skills.
• Responsive, dependable, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for Master Calendar Hearings.
• Handle Individual (Merits) Hearings.
• Review case files and prepare for scheduled hearings.
• Appear in immigration court as needed.
• Communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.
• Provide timely updates following hearings.
• Assist with other immigration matters as needed.
