Job summary

Valtech is seeking a freelance Fullstack Engineer for a 7-month project in the United States. Starting as soon as possible, the role is full-time and focused on delivering experience-driven web solutions using Contentful, React, TypeScript and Next.js.

You will design Contentful content models, build and consume APIs (REST/GraphQL), develop front-end features, and collaborate with designers, architects and clients in an agile environment to create scalable, accessible digital experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on full-stack engineering experience.
• Hands-on Contentful experience and content modeling.
• Strong React, TypeScript, and Next.js skills.
• Experience building/rest APIs (REST/GraphQL).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Contentful content models.
• Build and consume Contentful delivery APIs (Content Delivery, Preview, GraphQL).

The role

As a Fullstack Engineer, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 2-3 years of experience, hands‑on Contentful expertise, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

Role responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Contentful content models that work well for editors and developers
• Build and consume Contentful delivery APIs (Content Delivery, Preview, GraphQL) to power web experiences
• Develop front‑end features using TypeScript, React and Next.js
• Design and build integrations and APIs (including CRUD operations) between Contentful and other client systems
• Collaborate with designers, architects and client teams in an agile environment
• Take part in story refinement, estimation and code reviews
• Write clean, tested and well‑documented code, with attention to performance, accessibility and security

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

• 2-3 years of hands‑on experience as a full‑stack engineer
• Hands‑on experience with Contentful, including content modeling
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript and Next.js
• Experience building and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL), including CRUD integrations between systems
• Experience working in agile teams and collaborating with designers, architects and clients
• Experience writing clean, tested and well‑documented code

Nice to have qualifications

• CMS migrations (content mapping, transformation and validation)
• AI and automation tooling to improve content workflows and developer productivity
• Contentful webhooks, apps/extensions or the Management API
