Calla Lane Florals in Dallas is seeking experienced freelance florists to join our event production team for weddings and events. This hands-on role focuses on production and installation, with designs provided.

Our freelance florists are not responsible for client communications, consultations, proposals, or pre-event design work. Freelancers will build, install, and execute designs beautifully, following recipes and direction, and travel to event locations as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Professional floral design experience, preferably with weddings or events.
• Ability to confidently follow floral recipes and visual design direction.
• Experience producing arrangements efficiently in a production environment.
• Comfortable with onsite installations and event-day work.
• Able to lift and carry floral arrangements, vessels, buckets, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build floral arrangements according to provided recipes, quantities, and design direction.
• Produce centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony florals, installations, and other event pieces.
• Prep, process, and organize flowers and floral supplies as needed.
• Maintain consistency with Calla Lane's established design standards.
• Load, transport, unload, and organize floral pieces and event materials when assigned.
• Be onsite for wedding and event installations.
• Set ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and other floral elements according to the installation plan.
• Assist with larger-scale floral installations and mechanics.
• Make onsite adjustments to ensure florals are polished and event-ready.
• Participate in event strike/breakdown when scheduled.
• Work efficiently and collaboratively with the Calla Lane team while onsite.

Our freelance florists are provided with established floral recipes, quantities, and design direction and are responsible for bringing those designs to life.

This role does not include client communication, consultations, proposal creation, floral planning, or pre-event design work.

Responsibilities

• Build floral arrangements according to provided recipes, quantities, and design direction
• Produce centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony florals, installations, and other event floral pieces as assigned

What This Role Does Not Include

Freelance florists are not responsible for pre‑planning or managing the client relationship. Calla Lane handles the design and planning process prior to production. You receive the plan and recipes from our team — your role is to build, install, and execute them beautifully.

Qualifications

We are looking for florists who:

• Have professional floral design experience, preferably with weddings or events
• Can confidently follow floral recipes and visual design direction
• Have experience producing arrangements efficiently in a production environment
• Are comfortable with onsite installations and event‑day work
• Can safely lift and carry floral arrangements, buckets, vessels, and event materials
• Are comfortable working on their feet for extended periods
• Are dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team
• Can maintain a high level of quality while working within event‑day timelines
• Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to event locations as scheduled
