Paramount Pictures in West Sacramento is seeking a news editor to join CBS 13 and related stations. The candidate should have 3+ years of television news editing experience with strong storytelling across shifts including mornings, nights, and weekends.

Applicants should be proficient with NLE tools (GRASS VALLEY/EDIUS preferred) and possess solid journalistic judgment and communication skills. This on-site role offers competitive pay, benefits, and equal opportunity employment.

The CBS owned and operated duopoly in West Sacramento has an immediate opening for a news editor to work for CBS 13 and our independent 31.

Candidates should have a strong background in putting compelling stories together for our viewers. More than three years television news experience required. (Please do not apply if you do not have a background in television news).

Candidates should have a working knowledge of NLE platforms (GRASS VALLEY EDIUS is a plus). Candidates should be flexible enough to work morning’s, nights and weekends at a moment’s notice. We’re looking for storytellers and team players. You must be very creative and have a passion for news. No phone calls please.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
