Job summary

Language Services Associates, Inc. is seeking American Sign Language Interpreters for assignments in the Asheville, NC area. This position is for independent contractors who can negotiate fees based on experience and credentials. Candidates must meet several requirements including appropriate degrees, RID certification, and fluency in both English and American Sign Language. Interpreters will have the flexibility to accept or decline assignments while receiving support from a dedicated coordinator.

Qualifications

• RID certification required.
• State's QA equivalent level certification needed.
• Proof of required License or Registration must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Accept and commit to assignments as needed.
• Arrive onsite by the time requested by the client.
• Utilize the web-based invoicing platform for assignments.

Skills

Fluency in English

Fluency in American Sign Language

Adherence to the ethics of interpreting

Experience in medical and/or mental health settings

Education
