Job Description: Freelance Art Handler Specialist at Crozier Fine Arts

Join Crozier Fine Arts, part of Iron Mountain, a global leader in storage and information management, dedicated to art preservation and logistics. We are seeking dedicated Freelance Art Handler Specialists to ensure the safe handling, packing, transportation, and installation of artworks worldwide. This role involves leadership, client interaction, and physical tasks, supporting our mission to care for art and cultural artifacts.

Responsibilities

1. Handle, move, wrap, pack, and crate art objects, decorative arts, and furniture using Crozier’s techniques and materials.
2. Install and uninstall art for onsite projects.
3. Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe transit of artworks.
4. Plan and organize packing and transportation to maintain safety.
5. Conduct inspection reports and operate inventory scanning equipment.
6. Oversee receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of artworks, maintaining operational integrity.
7. Maintain organization and safety of tools and materials, ensuring safe operation of machinery.
8. Spend approximately 5% of work time on computer and communication devices.

Qualifications

• Clean personal and employment history.
• Experience with art handling is desirable but training will be provided.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
• Knowledge of industry-standard packing, crating, and installation techniques.
• Effective communication skills.
• Attention to detail, discretion, and reliability.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.
