Alexander Simpson is a boutique recruitment firm specializing in high-impact hires for top-tier AI startups and scaleups. We focus on placing world-class AI Engineers and technical leaders in some of the most exciting and innovative companies in the US and globally.

The Opportunity

We’re currently managing more roles than we can handle and are looking for a freelance recruiter to help us fill key technical positions. This is ideal as a side role for an experienced recruiter who wants to earn high commission while working flexibly.

You’ll focus on sourcing, qualifying, and submitting candidates for AI and Engineering roles, we’ll provide you with live positions, support, and process guidance. If successful, we’re open to discussing a permanent position down the line.

What You’ll Do

• Source and engage top-tier candidates for AI, ML, Data, and Engineering roles (mainly US-based)
• Qualify and screen candidates for fit, availability, and motivation
• Present shortlisted profiles with structured notes
• Collaborate closely to coordinate interviews and manage candidate experience

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a tech recruiter or headhunter (agency or in-house)
• Strong personal network or sourcing ability within the US AI/ML Engineering space
• Comfortable working independently, remotely, and flexibly
• Clear communication and ability to move fast on high-priority searches
