Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Home Consultant in Roanoke, VA to guide customers through choosing floor plans, options, and coordinating construction. You’ll build a world class buying experience and leverage a CRM to follow up with prospective buyers.

The role emphasizes relationship-driven sales, strong communication, and teamwork, with a base salary of about $50k plus commission and full-time benefits. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

Themain job purpose as a RetailHome Consultantwith Clayton will be to create a world class home buying experience byassistingcustomers toidentifya floor plan, select options, and coordinate the construction process.

Ideal Team Member Profile

• Clayton Ambassador – protect the Clayton branding and assets bymaintaininga high levelof integrity throughout the sales process
• Constant Learner – developexpertisein areas such as finance mortgage concepts, product, sales acumen, sales presentation skillsand your local market
• Customer Follow-up – maintaincustomer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via the company’s CRM system
• Merchandising – assistmanager by helping select inventory, decorate models and maintain appearance of the homes
• Personal Prospecting – develope,refineand execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic
• Product Demonstration – present potential buyers display homes, demonstratefeatures and benefits to create added value
• Set Appointments – set home center visits utilizing prospect database and by converting ad calls and web leads to appointments
• Training – participatesin all sales meetings, training opportunities and other company sponsored functions
• Team Oriented – cooperative and collaborative, willing and eager to work in a team environment, assist with miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relationship driven business to consumer sales preferred
• General understanding of the retail environment
• Ability to obtainappropriate manufacturedhome sales licensing
• Learn andcomply withlegal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening

Compensation

• As a Home Consultant with Clayton, you will receive a $50k base salary plus a lucrative commission plan
