Caregiving is a significant responsibility that becomes more challenging as your loved ones age. Their needs tend to grow over time, making the caregiving process even more demanding.
- HHA – Home Health Aide: Assist clients in their own homes with activities of daily living, boosting their spirit and significantly improving their quality of life. Deliver quality and safe home health care services, including personal care and homemaking.
- Personal Care – Personal Care services may include toileting, bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and assisting with personal hygiene.
- Homemakers – Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or provide transportation if needed. Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs such as shopping, menu planning, laundry, and household tasks.
- Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation, stimulating, encouraging, and assisting individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Medication reminders
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
- Assist with shopping or accompany clients during shopping trips
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
