Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school with RN credential.
• WA RN license required at hire.
• Current BLS CPR certification; ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC and NRP within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Administers, oversees and documents medication administration per order and policy.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments across physical, psychosocial, cultural and developmental domains.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans and evaluates patient outcomes.

• Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
• Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility.
• Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs.
• Gathers data relevant for patient care.
• Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing., upon hire and
• Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years or
• Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months or
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months and
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months and
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months and

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire and
• Certified Emergency Nurse, upon hire
