Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's Bremerton Free-standing ED is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. You will perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required qualifications include WA RN licensure, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and specialty courses (TNCC, NRP, PALS or ENPC) with recent ED or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• WA RN licensure required on hire.
• CPR/BLS required on hire; ACLS within 60 days.
• TNCC within 12 months; NRP within 12 months; PALS or ENPC within 12 months.
• Trauma-focused and pediatric emergency certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
• Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility.
• Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs.
• Gathers data relevant for patient care.
• Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing., upon hire and
• Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years, upon hire or
• Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years, upon hire
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days and
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months and
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months or
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire and
• Certified Emergency Nurse, upon hire
