Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Free Standing Emergency Department RN located in Tallahassee, FL. This position involves triaging and treating patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will coordinate care plans and closely work with physicians and other departments to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Candidates should have at least 1 year of acute-care experience and appropriate nursing certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute-care emergency department RN experience required.
• Critical care experience may be considered in lieu of ED experience.
• BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date.

Job description

Overview

This Free Standing Emergency Department RN position is located in Tallahassee, FL at a 288-bed acute-care hospital serving Leon and Gadsden Counties that operates 24/7 emergency services and hosts a Chest Pain Center with PCI-Resuscitation capability, a Stroke Center, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Behavioral Health Center, among other specialty services.

Responsibilities

Working within a collaborative emergency department team, the RN will triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting with conditions ranging from minor injuries to acute and critical illness. The nurse develops individualized care plans that identify expected outcomes and prescribe strategies and alternatives to achieve them, while simultaneously managing multiple patient cases and continuously reprioritizing based on acuity. Patient and family education is a core component of this role, including providing discharge instructions and coordinating necessary referrals. Close coordination with physicians and ancillary departments is expected throughout every shift, with consistent attention to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute-care emergency department RN experience required; critical care experience may be considered in lieu of ED experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma
• Active Florida RN license, multistate compact license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
• BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• ACLS or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
