Job summary

Longhorn Village is a Texas-based not-for-profit retirement community that provides independent living and on-site care, including skilled nursing. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver direct resident care in a 24-hour operation, under the supervision of the Director of Nurses.

Qualified candidates hold a current Texas CNA license, have a passion for geriatric care, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Texas CNA license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, bathing, and exercising.
• Assist residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
• Record vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
• Maintain, organize, and fully stock the bedside unit; change linen and keep rooms tidy.
• Respond promptly to all call lights and support resident comfort and safety.
• Encourage participation in activities and communicate respectfully with staff and residents.
