Job summary

BILL is seeking a talented leader for its Risk Strategy team to formulate fraud and credit risk management strategies for payments across channels. You will build and maintain risk models, collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales, and drive data-informed insights to reduce fraud while balancing customer experience.

Ideal candidates have extensive risk management experience in fintech, strong SQL and Excel skills, and hands-on experience with AI/ML tools to detect

Qualifications

• 8 years of risk management experience in Fintech or financial services with focus on fraud and credit risks.
• 3–5 years in management or leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of fraud detection and risk mitigation data-driven insights.
• Proficient in SQL, reporting, and presenting findings; Excel and visualization tools used daily.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and collaborate with product, engineering, success, and sales.
• Experience with AI/ML tools to strengthen fraud strategy and model development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk strategies and controls for payments across channels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk strategies at scale.
• Use data to inform insights and prioritize risk initiatives.
• Define, develop, and deploy risk management methodologies and models including predictive fraud models.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs, manage model drift, and govern risk decisions.
