Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Fraud Strategist in the United States to develop strategies mitigating buyer, seller, and account fraud across Stripe products. You will enable safer money movement while protecting users and the financial ecosystem, working with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations.

You will design scalable risk controls, stay ahead of emerging fraud trends, and help shape how Stripe approaches fraud management at a global payments company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Payments or FinTech.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Ability to balance enforcement with user experience.
• Experience building risk controls and fraud management strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio to identify, mitigate and predict risky behavior that could result in losses for Stripe, its users, and the financial ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Risk Partnerships, and Operations to tailor fraud risk management techniques.
• Continuously evaluate products for gaps and propose risk controls to enable growth.
• Scale risk processes to cover a large and complex landscape of fraud risks; design, outsource and automate workflows.
• Work with Stripe users to educate them and guide them on how to prevent fraud risks to their business.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, users, and regulators about fraud risks and risk controls.
