Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Financial Crimes Analytics Expert in Arizona to develop solutions aligned with business objectives.

You will extract insights from moderately complex data, perform modeling and visualization (PowerBI/Tableau), and apply ML techniques to mitigate fraud risks, while collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring peers. Strong knowledge of banking regulations and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education/experience.
• 4 years of experience in financial crimes supporting and participating in stakeholder consultation, needs assessment, requirement translation and prescription of technology solutions.
• Experience gathering business requirements and applying business rules to recommend technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience using fraud rules management to reduce or mitigate loss and fraud exposures.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and ability to connect external insights to business problems.
• Knowledge of bank laws and regulations related to money movement and /or payments, including Reg E, Reg CC, UDAAP, FACTA and Reg Z
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability synthesizing data and clearly reporting findings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert in at least one area of focus within Financial Crimes to develop solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Actively participate in and may own analyses or strategy initiatives using quantitative approaches.
• Extract insights from moderately complex data sets to design solutions with modeling and visualization.
• Utilize techniques like association rule learning, clustering, and anomaly detection to identify trends and mitigate risks.
• Consult with the business to understand direction, gather requirements, and translate into solutions.
• Advocate for self and peers to promote growth in technical and soft skills.
• Serve as a resource for mathematical, domain, and Financial Crimes knowledge.
• Ensure risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled per risk/compliance policies.
