Weekly Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

SUMMARY

The Digital Fraud Strategy Analyst is responsible for performing data analysis related to the digital online banking environment. This analysis supports rule generation and optimization to detect and prevent fraudulent activity. The analyst may also conduct root cause analysis to identify the origins of issues. Additionally, regular reporting of data insights may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis to identify fraud trends, insights, and opportunities.
• Propose rule changes to management based on data analysis.
• Develop reports on fraud data and trends for management review.
• Maintain fraud systems by updating rules, configurations, and policies.
• Test new rules and configurations, measuring their impact according to department procedures.
• Apply critical thinking to recognize patterns, trends, and inconsistencies in transactional and customer data.
• Collaborate with other fraud stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of current issues and solutions.
• Understand complex issues, customer risks, and financial risks associated with fraud.
• Monitor, analyze, and prevent fraud through online banking channels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of analytics experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of direct fraud experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or another analytical field, or 5 years of relevant fraud and analytics experience.
• Strong data analytics and extraction skills.
• Expertise in Excel; knowledge of Tableau or Power BI preferred.
• Working knowledge of fraud systems used by financial institutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and strong prioritization skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
