CEFCU Financial Services, Inc. seeks a dedicated fraud investigator to support member service operations. You will assess fraudulent activity across accounts, checks, and loans, and coordinate collections for returned items.
The role emphasizes risk mitigation and protecting members’ finances. Requires 2–4 years in fraud/check processing or ACH, strong critical thinking, and proficiency with CEFCU systems and standard software.

They provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact us. We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team! Investigates fraudulent activity on member account transactions, checks, loans, and account openings. Initiates collection action on all returned checks and related items. Identifies fraud trends and reports to management. Utilizes aggressive collection practices and frequent contact with members, financial institutions, attorneys, and law enforcement representatives to arrange recovery and/or restitution. Executes and responds to Transfer and Presentment Warranties and Indemnification Agreements in accordance with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Provides the highest quality member experience, for both internal and external members. Protects the interests of all CEFCU members by investigating, preventing, and mitigating fraud losses.
Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hybrid work-from-home after successful completion of training.
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $20.20 - $23.75. The pay range listed represents the anticipated starting range for a successful candidate. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
