Peraton is seeking an entry-level Fraud Auditor Associate to join SafeGuard Services (SGS). You will support complex investigations of medical providers under supervision, helping develop cases and reports for potential action, including referrals to law enforcement and overpayment recovery.

Role involves handling health privacy data, coordinating with internal resources and external agencies, and working from Eastern Time Zone with telework options.

Responsibilities

• The auditor works under direct supervision of a team manager or team lead.
• Supports a team that collaborates with state and/or federal investigators and other personnel.
• Handles multiple caseload assignments concurrently and analyzes information for the workload.
• Assists in complex reports applying regulations to programs affected by the behavior reviewed.
• Researches and understands offenses, conducts investigations/audits, and detects potential violations.
• Collaborates with team members to analyze results and determine appropriate actions.
• Prepares correspondence; communicates objectively and accurately with tact.
• Adapts to unplanned situations and maintains confidentiality of health privacy information.
