Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County is seeking an experienced Claims Investigator to oversee liability and workers’ compensation claims with potential fraudulent activity. You will conduct investigations, analyze evidence, and coordinate with law enforcement and insurers as part of a broader risk-management program.

The role requires deep knowledge of the Texas Tort Claims Act, a valid adjuster license, and strong communication skills to manage complex settlements and protect public

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of the Texas Tort Claims Act.
• Must possess a Texas All Lines adjusters’ license.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential for evaluating evidence and settlements.

Responsabilités

• Investigates and administers liability and workers’ compensation claims with potential fraud elements.
• Analyze, investigate, establish liability, evaluate damages, and resolve fraudulent claims across lines.
• Take recorded statements and explain relevant laws as needed.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, insurance companies and legal counsel for litigation or charges.
• Maintain contact with all parties and pursue subrogation when applicable.
