Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Special Agent A in the Northeast Region to safeguard public programs by investigating eligibility, overpayments, and fraud within DHS-administered programs. You will gather facts, review records, and prepare findings to support fair outcomes and ensure resources reach qualified recipients.

This full-time role requires one year of investigative experience or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree, and a PA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One year of investigative experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Case Investigation: Conduct field investigations, gather evidence, and review records to determine eligibility and overpayment issues.
• Interview Work: Interview applicants, recipients, and other sources to collect information related to assets, income, and residence.
• Regulation Application: Apply state and federal laws and regulations when reviewing cases and preparing findings.
• Legal Preparation: Prepare reports, criminal complaints, and related documents for hearings and court proceedings.
• Collaboration Duties: Work with law enforcement partners, participate in task forces, and support agency goals.
