Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Analyst for SafeGuard Services (SGS) to analyze Medicaid claims data and other sources to uncover fraud, waste, and abuse. You will review data outputs, use various tools, and support ongoing investigations.

May testify in court, with remote work options from the continental United States. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with data systems, and the ability to handle sensitive information.

Qualifications

• 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with a HS diploma/equivalent.
• Proven ability to work with a variety of systems, sources of data and analytic tools.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Court testimony may be required to testify about findings.
• Able to analyze data to identify norms, trends and patterns.
• Able to present issues of concern and regulatory violations.
• Able to report work activity on a timely basis.
• Able to handle confidential material.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on Medicaid claims data and other sources to identify problems.
• Review sophisticated data model output and use tools to detect fraud indicators.
• Possibly appear in court to testify about findings.
• Analyze data to identify norms, trends and patterns.
• Present issues of concern, citing regulatory violations and potential fraud schemes.
• Organize case files and document all steps in project development.
• Telework available from contiguous United States (Eastern or Central time zone preferred).
