Job summary

Qonto is seeking a Fraud Analyst to protect customers by detecting and preventing scams and fraudulent activities. You will join a newly created specialized Fraud team for the French market and report to Anamaria, Senior Team Lead Fraud, with direct ownership of complex cases and end-to-end project work.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Risk and Security teams, continuous learning, and a proactive approach to improving fraud detection across Europe.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fraud detection or AML experience with independent case handling.
• Bilingual in English and French; Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong evidence-based and creative thinking to detect fraud patterns.
• Confident communication with customers and counterparties in sensitive situations.
• Willing to coach junior analysts on casework when needed.
• Open to feedback and eager to continuously improve knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze transactions to detect fraud patterns, including scams and phishing.
• Assess risk for new products and onboarding with strong fraud prevention.
• Investigate complex cases and implement preventive measures across products.
• Own medium-scale projects end-to-end aligned with team objectives.
• Support junior analysts and new joiners on complex cases.
• Collaborate with Risk and Security teams to strengthen detection capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality fraud analysis with customer satisfaction and efficiency.
