Job summary

SpaceXSI in Palo Alto is seeking a Fraud Analyst to join the BSA/AML team. You will help detect, investigate, and mitigate financial crime risks while protecting customers and the company from fraud.

You will work on due diligence processes, improve monitoring rules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires a Saturday-Wednesday full-time schedule with in-office presence Mon-Wed in Palo Alto or NYC, and remote work on weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience in fraud investigation, fraud operations, or fraud risk management.
• Experience with BSA/AML regulations, OFAC sanctions, and related compliance frameworks.
• Ability to interpret data and identify patterns of suspicious activity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate fraud, money laundering, and suspicious activity alerts using monitoring systems.
• Review customer activity and transaction patterns to identify red flags.
• Perform CDD, EDD, and ongoing monitoring reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering and senior management on complex cases and risk mitigation.
• Document investigations, findings and decisions to support audits.
• Develop, test, and tune transaction monitoring rules and scenarios.
• Stay current on AML regulations and industry best practices; update policies.
• Support audits, regulatory exams, and independent reviews of the BSA/AML program.
• Provide guidance and training to frontline staff on fraud and AML signals.
