YWCA Minneapolis is hiring a Beacons Center Youth Counselor at Franklin Middle School in Minneapolis for after-school academic and enrichment activities for grades 6-8. You will plan and facilitate youth activities, recruit participants and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
The role is part-time with hours 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday during the school year, with summer hours subject to program needs.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.50 – $18.50

Location: Franklin Middle School, Minneapolis Public Schools / YWCA Minneapolis
As a Beacons Center Youth Counselor, you’ll provide direct service to participants in the Beacons Learning Center at Franklin Middle School. Beacons provides after-school academic and enrichment opportunities with a focus on inspiring youth to make positive decisions for themselves and their futures to students in grades 6-8 th.
Schedule
School Year: Monday – Thursday –3:00PM - 6:00PM
Summer: Hours subject to change based on summer activities and program need
You are interested in serving the community of Franklin and have familiarity working with diverse school populations. You enjoy teaching and thinking about how to make programming both engaging and educational. You are interested in learning and growing in a team-based environment.
