Franchise Training Consultant
Pay Range: $75,600.00 – $85,500.00 per year.
Position Summary: The Franchise Training Consultant at QDOBA is a key role dedicated to ensuring the success and alignment of franchise operations with brand standards and training protocols. The position involves collaborating with Franchise Business Consultants (FBCs), working closely with franchisees, delivering comprehensive training programs, and providing ongoing support to enhance operational excellence and customer service.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Franchisee Collaboration & Relationships: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with franchisees to understand their unique needs, challenges, and objectives. Serve as a liaison with FBC between franchisees and the corporate office, ensuring effective communication and alignment with brand standards.
- Training Needs Analysis and Performance Enhancement: Conduct thorough root cause analysis of franchisee performance data, operational metrics, and customer feedback, with a focus on identifying training needs. Collaborate closely with the FBC & franchisees to develop tailored action plans addressing these identified training gaps.
- Training Program Delivery: Develop, customize, and deliver training programs to franchisees, focusing on operational procedures, initiatives, brand standards, customer service, and business management. Conduct on‑site and remote training sessions tailored to the specific requirements of individual franchise locations.
- Field Support: Offer continuous support to franchisees, addressing questions, concerns, and providing guidance on training & development.
- Certified Trainer Network: Support franchisees in establishing and cultivating a network of certified trainers, including identification, training, and certification. Maintain regular communication and provide support to the certified trainer network.
- New Franchisee Training: Coordinate, support, and monitor the successful training of new franchisees. Collaborate with franchisees during onboarding, ensuring seamless integration into the system. Provide guidance and resources as needed.
- New Restaurant Opening Support: Support successful new restaurant openings. Collaborate with franchisees on pre‑opening training and operational standards. Monitor progress and provide continuous support to ensure a smooth open and sustained success.
- T&D Program Performance Evaluation: Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs & initiatives. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and performance metrics. Prepare regular reports for management to track the impact of training initiatives.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in the creation and enhancement of training materials, ensuring alignment with brand and franchise operations goals. Stay current on industry trends and incorporate relevant content into training programs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, a related field, or work experience equivalent.
Experience: 3+ years of training and facilitation experience, including formal presentation and instructor‑led training. Restaurant/hospitality or retail industry experience preferred, particularly within a franchise context.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Excellent knowledge of training and development concepts, performance consulting, and effective coaching. Strong strategic planning, organizational, time‑management, presentation, facilitation, listening, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of Corporate Support and franchise personnel. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Proficient knowledge of personal computers and related software applications (Microsoft Office and email systems). Strong business acumen, with an understanding of franchise operations.
Physical Conditions
- Ability to travel to franchise locations approximately 30%–60% of the time or as business needs require.
- Ability to speak and hear clearly on the telephone.
- Ability to type on a computer keyboard.
