Fanatics Collectibles is building the next generation of trading card games. We seek a Concept Artist to define the visual identity of new worlds and help establish tone, mood, and a cohesive look for upcoming franchises.

You will collaborate with Creative and Design leadership, translating abstract ideas into clear, compelling visual direction while contributing to iconic characters, factions, and environments.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, craft, and originality.
• Strength in one or more areas such as character design, creature design, or environment design, with ability to contribute broadly.
• Deep understanding of composition, lighting, color, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to explore multiple directions and converge on clear, compelling solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in early-stage, ambiguous creative spaces.
• A genuine passion for fantasy, sci-fi, games, and worldbuilding.

Responsibilities

• Define the Visual Identity of New Worlds by creating concept art that sets tone, mood, and visual language for new TCG franchises.
• Explore directions to define what makes a world distinct, memorable, and ownable.
• Contribute to creating iconic characters, factions, creatures, and environments.
• Create imagery that becomes foundational reference for the art pipeline and guides internal/external teams.
• Collaborate with Creative and Design leadership during ideation and worldbuilding to translate ideas into clear visual direction.
• Engage in rapid prototyping and be able to switch to rough sketch and concept work as needed.
