Overview

The organization emphasizes a culture that invites different beliefs and perspectives and seeks to hire an experienced Framework Developer Lead to join the Information Technology team. The role combines development lead responsibilities with framework engineering and includes leading the strategy and vision for the Framework Engineering Team.

In this position you should have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, strong problem solving and creative skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment. A high level of integrity, dependability, urgency, and results-orientation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of core application frameworks to support business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to define technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices for coding standards, design patterns, and software development methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical oversight and support for professional development.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality, performance, and security of application frameworks.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and capability of development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to framework architecture and application integration.
• Document framework designs, architecture decisions, and development processes for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize a consistent framework development approach across products/projects to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality, reporting and dashboards across functions.
• Manage and oversee the framework team velocity, issues, risks and bottlenecks and related projects.

What You Will Need

• 5 years of relevant experience required
• 6 years of relevant experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and command line interface
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and YAML markup
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GC
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Familiarity with Azure Boards or similar work management systems such as Jira or GitLab Issues
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and containerization technologies
• Solid grasp of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools
