Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Ridgefield, CT, is seeking a part-time storefront associate to help customers select and customize framing solutions. You will assist with framing orders, operate the cash register, and maintain a welcoming, well-organized store environment.

Strong customer service skills and basic computer and measuring abilities are preferred. This role requires standing for long periods and occasional evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills are required.
• Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements; execute company policies and standards.
• Build relationships with customers while creating custom framing solutions.
• Deliver sales and production results; meet quality and on‑time framing orders.
• Maintain the ready-made frame department and other areas including SISO and Directed Replenishment.
• Deliver friendly customer service; help customers shop and find what they are looking for; keep store well merchandised and in-stock.
• Follow SOPs and Company programs; support shrink and safety programs.
• Interact with others in a respectful manner; project a positive image and be a role model.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking to meet standards and timelines.
• Operate cash register and handle cash to standards.
• Acknowledge customers, help locate products and provide solutions; assist with Omni channel processes.
