Qualifications

Role Description The Framer will work full time on-site in San Diego, CA, supporting the layout and installation of nonstructural metal stud framing assemblies for residential and commercial drywall projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting construction drawings, measuring and marking layouts, assembling and securing framing components, and coordinating with drywall installers to ensure accurate wall and ceiling structures. The role involves using hand and power tools safely, maintaining organized and clean work areas, and adhering to all safety standards and building codes. The Framer will collaborate closely with site supervisors, general contractors, and crew members to deliver high-quality framing work on schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and framing layouts.
• Proficiency with framing tools and techniques, including metal stud installation, measuring, cutting, and fastening.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and jobsite safety protocols.
• Experience working on drywall-related projects, coordinating framing with hanging, finishing, and specialty systems.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting materials, standing, bending, and working at heights with ladders or scaffolding.
• Reliable work habits, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a crew under field supervision.
• Previous experience as a framer or in similar construction roles; experience in commercial and high-end residential work is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to San Diego, CA jobsites; willingness to comply with company policies and local regulations.
