Job summary

Koppers Inc. is seeking workers for outdoor pole production and related manual labor tasks. You will handle poles, operate drills and chainsaws, and ensure quality and safety standards are met in all weather conditions.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and willing to work overtime as needed. This outdoor role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold).
• Must be hands on with physical production.
• Must handle material safely to prevent damage and breakage to product.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Handle material safely to prevent damage and breakage to product.
• Use various hand tools to position and prepare the poles.
• Operate chainsaws.
• Cut flat surfaces on the poles using a portable planer.
• Brand customer information into the poles.
• Place steel beams between layers of poles while being loaded into a dry kiln.
• Complete various manual labor tasks.
• Follow all safety regulations and requirements required for Zero Harm compliance.
• Other work-related duties as required
