Role Description

The Framer role at Price Builders is a full-time, on-site position based at job sites in greater San Diego. In this role, the Framer will read and interpret blueprints and construction plans, measure and cut lumber and other materials, and assemble wall, floor, and roof framing systems according to project specifications. Daily tasks include using hand and power tools, installing structural components, verifying alignment and structural integrity, and collaborating with site supervisors and other trades to complete framing phases on schedule. The Framer will also help maintain a clean, organized job site, follow all safety procedures, and assist in troubleshooting construction issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read blueprints, construction drawings, and framing layouts, and translate them into precise, on-site work.


• Proficiency with common construction tools (e.g., saws, nail guns, levels, measuring tapes) and safe material handling practices.


• Solid understanding of residential and light commercial wood framing methods, building codes, and structural requirements.


• Strong attention to detail, ability to measure and cut materials accurately, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.


• Physical capability to perform demanding construction tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights and in varying weather conditions.


• Reliable transportation to San Diego area job sites, punctuality, and ability to work full-time.


• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with supervisors, crew members, and other trades.


• Previous framing or general carpentry experience required.


• Knowledge of OSHA and site safety standards; willingness to follow company safety protocols at all times.
