Job summary

Newman Homes is seeking experienced framers in Augusta, ME for framing on new houses and additions, including garages. You will layout and frame walls, floors and roofs from prints, set beams to plan-determined sizes, and ensure the frame is square and plumb for subsequent trades.

You should have at least two years of framing production or custom work, be comfortable at height with fall protection, and be able to read plan sets and span tables.

• Your own hand tools, a vehicle, and a clean enough record for our insurance.

Job description

We have framer jobs in Augusta, ME, for rough framing on new houses and additions. Garages are part of the work too.

We build on full frost-depth foundations and to Maine snow loads.

This is a small Augusta shop: a small office, plus our crews. We’ve built across the Kennebec Valley since 2017.
