Job summary

Responsibilities include MIG and TIG welding of frames and fabricated assemblies, reading drawings and weld symbols, fitting and aligning components, and inspecting welds for conformance. 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience with frame fabrication and welded assemblies.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to lay out, fit-up and inspect dimensions.
• Ability to use common fabrication tools (tape measures, calipers, squares, levels).
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on frames, structural components, and fabricated assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, dimensions, and fabrication requirements.
• Fit, align, clamp, and assemble components prior to welding.
• Perform fabrication activities including measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and finishing as required.
• Verify dimensions and alignment using standard measuring tools.
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for workmanship and conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Identify drawing, material, or fit-up issues and communicate concerns to the Supervisor or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Complete work in accordance with the production schedule and established priorities.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
