Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Engineer to design, develop and validate structural components for passenger trucks and vehicles. The role involves leading Frame structures, applying DFMEA/PFMEA, and ensuring robust, cost-efficient designs aligned with vehicle attributes.

You will mentor engineers, drive cost reduction and benchmarking efforts, and work in a hybrid setup onsite four or more days per week.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years experience in frames or structures design and release.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and Release Engineering for Frame, Mounts, Spare Tire Winches, and Tow Hooks; lead release through launch.
• Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Specifications to ensure robust designs.
• Lead design reviews to meet vehicle attributes including package, crash, durability and thermal management.
• Resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues; guide peers through Technical Club forums.
