Job summary

Bell Northbrook in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Fragrance Lab Technician to join our Fragrance R&D team. You will assist in daily fulfillment and shipping of customer samples and perform quality control tests in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (BS in chemistry preferred); you will handle formulas, maintain the lab, ensure safety and GMP compliance, and communicate clearly to support team objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• BS/BA in chemistry or related science preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Good attendance and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Precise compounding of formulas and preparation of samples.
• Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory.
• Ensure security of all fragrance formula batch sheets.
• Examine outgoing shipments for specifications.
• Follow safety, GMP, and Hazmat rules.
• Stock lab/shipping supplies (glasses, containers, caps, boxes).
• Handle sample requests: filing, labeling, packing, wrapping.
• Manage raw material orders and lab upkeep.
• Conduct quality control tests and input data.
• Communicate clearly and support team objectives.
• Pursue continuous improvement of processes and products.
