Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Fragrance Evaluation Manager to partner with perfumers, evaluate fragrances, and translate trends into compelling fragrance concepts. You will lead projects from concept through customer presentations and work across Sales, Marketing, Consumer Science, Regulatory, and Creative teams.

The role requires 2–5 years in fragrance evaluation/development, a chemistry-related degree, and a strong passion for fragrances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of fragrance evaluation and/or fragrance development experience.
• Genuine interest and passion for fragrances.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to distinguish subtle nuances in fragrance compositions; olfactive assessment will be administered.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to articulate olfactive experiences and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborative team player in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with perfumers to bring fragrance ideas to life.
• Evaluate and select fragrances that delight consumers and excite customers.
• Turn trends, culture, and consumer insights into fragrance inspiration.
• Lead projects from concept through customer presentations.

• Present fragrance stories and recommendations with confidence.
