Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Manager of the Fracture Mechanics Engineering group within the Reactor Component Engineering department, located at our Cranberry Township headquarters.

You will lead the engineering team responsible for fracture mechanics analyses such as leak before break, flaw tolerance evaluations, and fatigue crack growth, supporting outages, modifications, and new plant designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, nuclear engineering or related discipline.
• 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience.
• Ability to gather input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions.
• Strong leadership competencies and team development experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, including performance management and career development.
• Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource management across projects.
• Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering work products to standards.
• Mentor team members to improve capability and technical proficiency.
• Provide management-level technical oversight for fracture mechanics evaluations.
• Promote continuous improvement, safety, and quality culture.
• Coordinate emergent responses to customer issues.
