Position Overview:

The Private Equity Specialist will be responsible for securing investment capital to fuel destinationone’s growth and expansion plans. This individual will lead the end-to-end fundraising process, from identifying potential investors to structuring deals and finalizing agreements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in private equity, venture capital, or investment banking and will possess the strategic mindset and entrepreneurial drive to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Capital Raising and Investor Relations
  1. Develop and execute strategies to secure private equity funding aligned with destinationone’s business objectives.
  2. Identify, engage, and build relationships with angel investors, venture capital firms, family offices, and financial institutions.
  3. Organize and lead investor meetings, pitch sessions, and networking opportunities to present the company’s value proposition.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation
  1. Structure and negotiate investment deals, including equity, debt, or convertible instruments, to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with the founder and legal team to draft and finalize agreements.
Strategic Financial Planning
  1. Collaborate with leadership to create financial models and assess investment opportunities.
  2. Provide insights into market trends, valuations, and risk management to inform investment strategies.
Document Review and Alignment
  1. Prepare, review, and align investor-facing materials such as pitch decks, financial reports, and business plans to ensure they resonate with potential investors.
  2. Oversee due diligence processes to address investor inquiries and validate company information.
Investor Reporting and Compliance
  1. Maintain clear and transparent communication with current and prospective investors.
  2. Prepare investor reports, updates, and performance metrics to build trust and confidence.
  3. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
Collaboration and Organizational Alignment
  1. Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to align private equity strategies with broader company goals.
  2. Support the founder in preparing for and navigating critical investment negotiations.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  2. Proven experience (3+ years) in private equity, venture capital, or investment banking, with a strong track record in capital raising.
  3. Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
  4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong understanding of investor relations, compliance, and due diligence processes.
  6. Experience working with startups or in high-growth environments is highly desirable.
  7. Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment.
  9. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
