Overview:

This is afractional, hourly role to start, with the potential to transition into afull-time positionbased on performance and business needs.

A portfolio of high-growth, early-stage companies backed by an independent sponsor is seekingexperienced, startup-savvyCFOsto lead financial strategy and execution across multiple businesses. These roles are ideal forhands-on financial leaderswho thrive in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments and are eager to build financial infrastructure from the ground up.

The portfolio spans diverse industries, including MedTech (pre-FDA clearance), alcohol/distilling, liquor brands, and genetics — all requiringCFOs who are not only strategic thinkers but alsostrong operatorswho can roll up their sleeves and deliver results in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic partner to founders and executive teams in driving business growth
• Build financial operations from scratch: budgeting, cash flow forecasting, internal controls, and reporting
• Design and iterate onoperating modelsthat support scale and align with business goals
• Leadcash flow forecastingand working capital planning with a high degree of accuracy
• Implement foundational systems and processes in early-stage, lean environments
• Partner with leadership to support capital raises, investor reporting, and board communications
• Guide strategic decisions around FDA milestone planning (for MedTech) or production and distribution cycles (for alcohol/liquor businesses)
• Oversee or build finance teams and manage third-party providers as needed

Qualifications:

• ProvenCFOor senior finance experience in early-stage or startup companies
• Comfortable operating inunstructured, fast-moving environmentswith limited resources
• Deep understanding ofcash flow management, budgeting, and operational finance
• Prior experience standing up systems, controls, and scalable financial processes
• Industry experience in one or more of the following:

MedTech / Life Sciences(especially pre-commercial or FDA-regulated)

Alcohol/Distilling / CPG

Biotech / Genetics

• Strong communication skills; able to collaborate with founders and communicate with investors
• Bias for action, adaptability, and a builder’s mindset

$275 - $400 an hour

This is afractional, hourly role to start, withtemp-to-hire and full-time potential.

Hourly rate is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Equity or profit participation may be available for candidates who transition to full-time roles.
