ZL Chemicals Ltd. in Odessa, TX seeks a Senior Field Technician to support frac-site operations across the region. You will provide advanced field assistance, diagnose equipment, and train customer crews and junior technicians to maintain mobile chemical treatment units.

The role requires independent work in demanding environments, willingness to travel about 70%, and availability for extended shifts, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations. Initial training will occur in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an oil and gas field technical role.
• Experience at frac sites within the U.S. oil and gas industry.
• Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced day-to-day technical support to customers operating mobile chemical treatment units at frac sites.
• Serve as the primary field contact for equipment-related technical and operational issues.
• Diagnose complex equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Lead installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment including flow meters, transducers, sensors, motors, pumps, and control systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mobile units.
• Provide operational training and guidance to customer frac crews and junior technicians.
• Build strong working relationships with frac crew personnel and internal teams.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Keep safety and company procedures in all activities.
• Complete maintenance records and inspection reports accurately.
• Submit detailed daily frac-site reports timely.
• Escalate significant issues to the Regional Supervisor.
