Field Operations Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FRAC Field Service Manager (FSM) is responsible for providing and following all safety and operational procedures and the supervision and coordination of activities of operational personnel on location, including Field Engineer(s) and Operations Technical Positions, Service Supervisors, Field Equipment Operators. Ensure all are engaged in the proper installation, repair, and servicing of equipment and machinery. This position oversees the day-to-day management of operations in the field and all related responsibilities of the management of a minimum of one spread and will act as a liaison between the office, field, and field customers.

People Management

  • Supervise the day-to-day work activities of all field service activities over a minimum of one frac spread and ensure job services, all customer requests, and requirements are being met according to job specifications.
  • Provide coordination in locating the job site, marking the locations of work tanks, and verify adequate room for equipment needed to do the proposed job design
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling field service crew and equipment for completion of job assignments, establish or adjust work procedures to meet schedules, and resolve work problems

Equipment Management

  • Maintain and monitor proper equipment and inventory to ensure they are available when needed
  • Communicate with all support roles ensuring Preventative Maintenance, Parts Management, and Vendor Management are aware and able to support spreads needs.
  • Oversee the well-servicing requirements to ensure work is performed in a safe environment and that all safety requirements are met and follow policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular contact and communication with all vendors to ensure services and 3rdparty equipment is available for the job

Reporting and Documentation

  • Responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly operational reports outlining safety, operational, and customer needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate procedures and methods for enforcing or interpreting established guidelines and practices, provide management with current job statuses, and improve performance, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Address customer concerns or problems and recommend measures in resolving them to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Represent the Company and our values with integrity while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards with all customer interactions
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility in conjunction with the Company’s travel and entertainment policy

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with others and work independently when required
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain equipment
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills including the ability to read, write and speak English, and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English along with the ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with all employees at different levels both in the office and in the field.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Suite and field software
  • Possess strong organizational skills and multi-task efficiently
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job including but not limited to working on your feet, climbing ladders, working outdoors, and lifting
  • Ability to travel as needed to other offices and work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in fracing in Operations or Maintenance
  • 3+ years’ experience in Supervisor role
  • Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite, and field operating systems
  • Musthaveand maintain avalid state-issueddriver’slicense,beeligible todriveaCompanyvehicle,andmeettherequirementsoftheCompany’s vehicleprogram, policy, and/or guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Completion of CrossFlo Program
  • Preferred: Completion of Competency Training including EODP 1-4, Service Supervisor Bootcamp, up to date on all annual refresher training.

TheField Operations Managermust work with an emphasis on individual safety and safety for others, including coworkers and third parties. Following Safety-First ownership and empowering all employees to foster a safety-first culture. This position requires working outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation, and heights.
