Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Facilities Projects Supervisor, perform skilled work with no technical supervision, including project-related alterations, repairs, and new installations of mechanical and building systems. Assist in other trades and disciplines at a non-journey level to support the Project Services staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Perform journey-level skilled work with knowledge of materials, methods, and tools. Use machinery and hand tools effectively, understand safety regulations, read plans, estimate materials, maintain records, follow instructions, instruct others, respond to emergencies, lead small teams, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs. Recognize and apply safety guidelines and communicate effectively with a diverse campus community.
Education and Experience
Physical Requirements
Heavy work involving lifting over 40 pounds, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
Licenses
Valid California driver’s license required.

Salary determined by education, experience, and qualifications, within CSU range of $5,998 - $8,737/month.

Temporary for one year, no permanent status guaranteed.
