Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester Division is seeking a FPI Inspector to support material flow and quality control across the manufacturing process. The role includes performing routine inspections, recording results, and ensuring inventory accuracy while adhering to regulatory requirements.

You will work with visual, penetrant, and other non-destructive methods and contribute to continuous improvement across FPI disciplines.

Qualifications

• 2 years quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing with employees and supervision as necessary.
• Ability to read & react to verbal and non-verbal communication while maintaining complete professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine checks, tests, gauging and instrument inspections of materials, parts in process and finished parts.
• Performs routine tests on materials, goods in process or finished goods against company quality standards.
• Performs visual inspection for obvious defects.
• Records results on inspection forms or charts and reports number of defects found.
• Required to inspect parts using fluorescent penetrant and black light to find defects.
• Some lifting of items of various weights, both assisted and unassisted.
• Experience in understanding of non-destructive validation methodology (visual, penetrant, etc).
• Drive standardized continuous improvement metrics across the FPI disciplines.
• Blueprint Reading/customer requirements flow down.
• Understanding of Regulatory requirements.

Barnes Aerospace West Chester Division has a challenging and rewarding job opportunity for a FPI Inspector. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of duties supporting material flow throughout the manufacturing process, which includes ordering purchased parts, outside processing services and coordinating inventory control transactions to ensure inventory is on hand to support the day today needs of the business. In addition, this individual will have responsibility for standard work and inventory accuracy of material transactions and all inventory including consumables.
