Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to join the Global CAD team.

You will develop FPGA firmware and embedded software for leading-edge wireless products, applying industry-standard tools and contributing to emulation and verification environments. The role requires hands-on ASIC/FPGA experience, SystemVerilog, RTL/HDL, and familiarity with Xilinx Ultrascale/Ultrascale+, Intel Stratix devices, plus C++ and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• FPGA design, FPGA firmware or related work experience.
• Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, RTL/HDL, FPGA (Xilinx Ultrascale, Ultrascale+, MPSoC, Intel Stratix) and FPGA Tools (Xilinx, Intel)
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently, and create customer-facing applications.

This role will include

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD. in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
• Experience with clock domain crossing, high speed designs, and timing closure techniques
• Exposure to VLSI design concepts, logic design
• Direct hands-on experience with C++ (x86, aarch64) and Python
• Hands-on experience with Linux / Embedded Linux
• Solid understanding of ARM based designs, Embedded Linux, Linux Device Drivers
• Solid experience in implementing the following protocols: AXI, PCIe, I2C, LVDS, Ethernet
• Proven ability of software design principles, practices and patterns
• Knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and other related technologies

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits

$121,800.00 - $182,600.00 The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
