Job summary

Raytheon in Fort Wayne, IN seeks an FPGA Engineer II to join the Multi-Product Power & Digital (MPD) team. You will design, simulate, verify, and document FPGA-based solutions for missiles and radars, using VHDL/Verilog and modern toolchains while working with cross-functional teams onsite.

This onsite role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; DoD Secret clearance; relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant FPGA/ASIC experience.
• Experience with FPGA/ASIC design or verification.
• Experience with AMD Xilinx, Altera, or Microchip devices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle support of FPGA designs for major vendors and device families (AMD Xilinx, Altera, Microchip).
• Generate FPGA designs for gigabit interfaces, RF DSP, controls, data links, and embedded processing.
• Assist with architecture development of FPGA-based systems.
• Design and code in VHDL/Verilog for reliability.
• Support design verification with directed and constrained random tests.
• Document designs in configuration management tools and provide lifecycle support.
