Job summary

KARL STORZ is seeking an FPGA Engineer II to design, develop, test, integrate, and verify FPGA designs for advanced medical video camera systems in Goleta, CA. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable performance.

Responsibilities include creating synthesizable Verilog, building testbenches, and optimizing timing, power, and resources while aligning with medical device standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2–5 years FPGA design experience.
• OR Master's degree with 0–2 years FPGA experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop synthesizable Verilog HDL code for FPGA applications.
• Develop Verilog and SystemVerilog testbenches to simulate FPGA designs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve FPGA design issues.
• Analyze FPGA resource utilization, power, timing, and performance.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for FPGA integration.
• Ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards.
