Job summary

Ledgent Technology in Sunnyvale is seeking an FPGA Engineer to own FPGA architecture, design, and delivery for real-time systems. The role requires strong Xilinx FPGA skills and a proven ability to drive projects from inception through production.

You will collaborate with software and electrical engineering teams onsite in Sunnyvale, contributing to next-generation platforms and heavy design work on critical hardware.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of FPGA experience.
• Strong Xilinx FPGA experience.
• Experience owning FPGA projects from architecture/design through production.
• Real-time systems, serial communication, and Ethernet protocols.
• Ability to work closely with both software and electrical engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Next-generation platform redesign and development (80% new design / 20% support).
• Heavy architecture work and development on FPGA platforms.
• Develop and integrate custom serial communications and real-time data systems.

Must-haves:

• 5-8 years of FPGA experience


• Strong Xilinx FPGA experience


• Experience owning FPGA projects from architecture/design through production


• Real-time systems, serial communication, and Ethernet protocols

Nice-to-haves:

• Mixed-signal / analog-digital system exposure

What the candidate will work on in the first 6 months

• Next-generation platform redesign (their current e-beam lithography machine is getting a new iteration, so the candidate will be working on that.
